In 1992 the project 'Children and Youth Museums' in Prenzlauer Berg was created by the non profit Organisation Netzwerk Spiel/Kultur Prenzlauer Berg. For an entire summer, the young visitors sat in the Museum’s Constructionvan dealing with Grandma’s Everyday Culture: Hats were favoured accessories and a lot of shirts were washed, wrung and hung on the line . . .
In February 1993, our first exhibition, the SOAP SHOP, was opened in the area of the district office in Fröbelstraße. After that, we relocated to a Primary school in Ibsenstraβe.
From autumn 1993 until the end of 2ooo we were located in Schivelbeiner Straβe, showing exhibitions, holding project weeks and participating in events in the area.
